A Message From Our VP of Membership Recruitment...

Dear Potential New Members,

My name is Isabel Girod and I am Alpha Phi’s Vice President of Membership Recruitment. I am so excited that you are interested in going through recruitment with Alpha Phi. Everyone here at the Delta Chapter cannot wait to meet you! I know recruitment can seem overwhelming, but it is truly such an important experience that can help you find your home away from home here at Cornell. Joining Alpha Phi has enriched my Cornell experience, and has given me lifelong friendships, memories, and more.

Here at Alpha Phi, we pride ourselves on our commitment to academic excellence and service. Our sisters are always encouraging each other to grow and succeed. Most importantly, we pride ourselves on our strong sisterhood and commitment to each other. The bond I share with my sisters was shaped during our new member period, which starts right after bid night. During this period, I met so many inspiring women that I am proud to call my sisters.

The virtual recruitment process may seem daunting, but joining Cornell’s Greek community was one of the best decisions I have made. I understand that virtual recruitment comes with its unique challenges, but the recruitment team has made sure to carry over the authenticity and excitement of in-person recruitment. Here at Cornell we have 13 unique sororities, and I can assure you there is a place for everyone. Joining the Greek community at Cornell connects you to a network of remarkable students and alumni, and I am grateful to be part of it through Alpha Phi.

We look forward to welcoming you to our home in January, and I can’t wait to meet you.

Best wishes and AOE,

Isabel Girod

Vice President of Membership Recruitment, Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi
